	Shock...Derek Sivers sold CD Baby 4 hours ago today...an era in music has passed...a great leader and inspiration to many in independent music during the sea-change in the music industry has moved on...Derek, a soul for unheard music, made our voices heard the world over...THANK YOU Derek, for your dedication and selfless service to fellow musicians over the past decade...may the flame you started shine brightly in the future!

	Hi Eddie, Derek may have stepped down from fully running CD Baby but his spirit that created this company and has helped and fueled so many musicians will absolutely not. You can believe me that all of us who are working here day in and day out have such a *strong* passion for independent musicians that the work and free spirit of CD Baby will be here for the long haul. 	I am happy for Derek to explore other interests. It is always scary when someone new steps up to bat and I think Tony Van Veen will have to win the trust of a lot of us who believe so highly in Derek. 	Thanks for all you've done for me over the years Derek. I was there at the very begining. I know that the new guys have some very big shoes to fill.

	Wish Derek all the best with his new ventures! He has always been a great supporter of indie music, and I'm sure always will be. Found him very down to earth and helpful. Though we have a new single coming out soon with a major- Universal, this is a one off- we are primarily an indie band, releasing on our own indie label,Mooli Music and we'll no doubt continue to work with CD baby on future projects. Personally I am reassured that Derek would not have sold the Company to anyone who didn't share his ethos, and am further reassured by the fact that the staff who do the day to day stuff, remain the same.
