CD Baby,
I am interested in offering my customers some sort of promo code
when they are ordering CD.
eg. Enter "BIGFISH" as a promo code to get 5.00 off of the CD
purchase or an additional FREE CD.

We've been batting around similar ideas internally for years now. Every time it seemed our collective plate would allow room for development to this end, we found it quickly filling up with company needs and urgent artist requests that inevitably took precedence.
We do; however, recognize the potential empowering effect that the addition of an artist administrated promotional/discount feature such as the one you've suggested could provide for our members. Under a new and more proactive wing, CD Baby will be pushing harder than ever to roll out features designed to improve DIY capabilities for artists across the board.
This kind of feedback will help us prioritize our ever growing list of initiatives, and we'll keep your idea in mind as we gear up for 09.
