The results are in for the UK Songwriting Contest and I am very
happy to announce that four of my compositions have been
recognized in this contest! Also, please join me in
congratulating all of the winners of this excellent contest.
My Standings -
Opus N0 8 - Duet has been awarded the Finalist position in the
Instrumental Catagory! Opus No 8 - Duet is featured on the
Colors of Cello CD.
Opus No 6 - Cello Duet has been awarded the position also in
the Instrumental Catagory! Opus No 6 - Cello Duet is featured
on the Colors of Cello CD.
Trails of Tears has been awarded the Semi-Finalist position
again in the Instrumental Catagory! Trail of Tears is featured on
the Heart Strings CD.
Sonata in C Major has been awarded Commended Entry position
in the Instrumental Catagory! Sonata in C Major is featured on
the Heart Strings CD.
The UKSC is an annual contest now in its seventh year. It was
formed in 2002 with The Brit Trust (of BRIT AWARDS fame) to
encourage and promote the art of songwriting. The contest is
supported by some of the most highly respected names in the
music industry including; BBC Radio, Music Aid, the BRIT School,
The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, The
British Acadamy of Composers and Songwriters, The
International Song Copyright Agency, Sibelius, Broadjam, Virtual
Studio Systems, Backbeat Books and many other leading music
industry professionals, organisations and companies.
UK Songwriting Contest media staff provides media support for
journalists who cover stories about finalists. Interested members
of the music industry press or radio can reach them via e-mail
